Fiona Malaman- Fascial Counterstrain
Hi, I’m Fiona Malamen and I’m a lifelong student of the body. We don’t live our lives in a straight line but in cycles, in ups and downs, moments of clarity and truth or confusion and distress. Since I graduated from the Massage Therapy program at Columbia Greene Community College in 2006, I have been holding safe space for healing and the recovery of homeostasis, the body’s “happy place.” This healing work is a collaborative partnership that prioritizes deep listening, something that is all too scarce in our broken and unequal healthcare system.
After graduating from SUNY New Paltz with a degree in Biology and Psychology, a session with mentor and local luminary Nina Silverman, P.T. introduced me to the osteopathic modality of Counterstrain. In this Indirect Approach, the therapist follows the signals of the body and releases occur in the direction of ease, rather than going against the tension and the body/mind defenses, to effectively relieve pain and inflammation.
Rebecca Henriksen- Yoga Flow
The practice will begin with meditation and gentle warm up stretching, followed by breath-driven fluid movement from one pose to the next, and will end with deeper stretching and meditation. This class is appropriate for all levels with variations offered based on each student's needs and personal practice.
BIO:
Rebecca earned her 200 hour yoga teacher certification in 2011 from Gilbert Yoga in Gilbert Arizona where she taught a variety of yoga classes for more than 5 years. She spent the last few years in Monterey California where she led beach yoga on the Pacific Ocean and studied under yoga master dunja lingwood. Rebecca encourages her students to embrace the connection of breath and movement, and emphasizes physical alignment throughout, with the objective of helping students receive maximum benefit and balance. Rebecca moved to Kingston a few months ago and is excited and honored to share her practice with our community.
Melinda Woolsey- HIIT Workout
Melinda has been a Trainer/Coach for 14 years. Her background is in CrossFit, but don’t let that intimidate you, she also went to school for Physical Therapy. Needless to say, she understands the benefits of balance. She’s had back issues due to scoliosis since childhood including spinal surgery at the age of 16. Melinda grew up before that with a love of sports, specifically gymnastics.
Choosing to take control of her health through exercise and healthy eating habits helped Melinda to get stronger and continues to help her do the activities she loves the most (snowboarding and mountain biking). If she can do it with titanium in her spine, she believes anyone can. Melinda has trained everyone from junior high/high school athletes to weekend warriors, NYPD, NYS Troopers to the geriatric population with multiple co-morbidities. The Parkinson’s population has a special place in her heart. She’s had the pleasure of training groups of employees, teachers and healthcare workers. She loves what she does and is happy to make people fall in love with their ability and with themselves through movement. She looks forward to working with you!
Jessica Jameson- Yoga
Jessica Jameson is a mom, yoga teacher (and student) and a professional photographer. She moved to the Hudson Valley in September 2021, from Arcosanti, AZ, and intentional community whose mission is to inspire a reimagined urbanism that builds resilient and equitable communities sustainably integrated with the natural world. Since Jessica has been in the HV, she’s spent her time building community by teaching free yoga classes at the People’s Place Wellness Empowerment Center, hosting coffee meetups in Kingston for the non-profit Hudson Valley Women in Businesss and leading the George Washington PTO as president. She holds degrees in Environmental Studie and Environmental Communications. Jessica is passionate about the environment and working towards building resilient, compassionate communities so that we can all thrive!
Allison Downey- Shiatsu
Hello, I am Allison Veronica and I love working alongside individuals on their healing journey. I am fascinated by the human body and have spent my years studying nutrition, wellness, ecology, herbalism and bodywork. The Center for Natural Wellness School of Massage Therapy introduced me to various different modalities and allowed me to learn more about what this work means to me. My work is simultaneously intuitive and informed by a thorough knowledge of the musculoskeletal system. I am passionate about Shiatsu, Thai Yoga Massage, Myofascial Release, and Neuromuscular Therapy. I believe that our bodies are beyond intelligent and know how to find their way back to alignment, so long as we listen deeply. Bodywork is a way for us to connect with the subtle messages our bodies hope to convey. If we allow ourselves to explore this we can optimize our wellbeing, take agency over our own healing, and feel more embodied in the way we move through life.
Nandini Austin- Global Dance Fusion
Nandini Natasha Austin is a British-born Ayurveda consultant and dance-movement artist. With a background in luxury hospitality and a multicultural upbringing, she combined her love for Ayurveda, dance, and global culture to create Global Dance Fusion, a unique and joyful class. Since becoming a therapist, Dawn has chosen to expand her craft through many new and alternative forms. Feel comfortable and simply walk through the door. More at HariPrakaash.com + @_HariPrakaash_
Christa Gallegous- Mindful Tea Ceremony
We're going to start off with silence as we prepare for the tea ceremony. Taking the opportunity to be still and hold space for our-self and each other. We will dive deeply into guided mindfulness. Using a variety of modalities including body scanning and other meditative techniques. Finally, we will end with a non-judgmental sharing of the experience.
Lenny Tofu- Sound Bath Yoga
Lenny‘s class, "Sound Bath Yoga", will blend a basic yoga flow with the upbeat rhythms and chants of Krishna Das
The yogic sequence is constructed to bring inner joy and energy as you unconsciously open your heart, mind and body over the 40 minutes of the class. Yoga Instructor Lenny Tofu has been a Yoga Practitioner for over 30 years. On the mats of Jivamukti Yoga in Manhattan Lenny grew his love for the practice. In 2019 he transplanted his roots to Ulster County and became a certified Yoga teacher at Vitality Yoga in New Paltz where he studies under Yoga instructor Maggie Heinzel- Neel.
Dan Chung- Heart Healing
Though my background is in ThetaHealing® (Certified in February 2017), the intuitive work/play we undertake together melds several different methods (including some seen here). In short, we will seek out, acknowledge, understand, and shift limiting beliefs at the root, as well as breaking through any emotional programming. We will surface any and all suffering to find the buried treasure within it.
In this space, the priority is healing the heart, learning to accept and love yourself fully. Through loving yourself, everything else naturally emerges. This new foundation allows the construction of a life more aligned with your truth, one you’ve always dreamed of and perhaps never thought possible.
All of this inner work bridges directly with your outer world, sure to catalyze transformation:
Move from fight / flight / freeze ego reactivity into full embodiment
Identify and integrate your unconscious shadow
Tune in to and listen well to your life’s signs and synchronicities
Build and attract relationships that reflect your core values and joy
Cultivate presence in the now to live life with trust and faith
Become a fully responsible co-creator of your life experience
Thrive in all of your roles and serve others in the process
Connect with your heart center and lead life from this place

In Reiki, energy is used to dissolve or remove blocks. It also assist in the easing or relief of pain, temporarily allowing for spiritual healing and energy balance. Not to mention an over all good feeling. Reiki plus gives a little bit extra. Whether it’s a psychic message or words of wisdom from the other side. No one knows until we begin.
Sarah Andrus- Reiki
Sarah is a yoga and bodywork practitioner from the Hudson Valley, specializing in energy healing. Since receiving her Master Reiki attunement at the Omega Institute in 2016, she has joyfully offered free Reiki sessions to her community. Trained by Brett Bevell, a respected Reiki Master and author, Sarah has honed her skills both physically and metaphysically. Blending traditional methods with modern techniques, she works collaboratively with each person to support the changes they’re ready to embrace.
Reiki is often compared to a massage, though it involves no physical touch—only gentle hand placements or subtle energy movements. It taps into each individual’s unique energy field, aiming to restore balance and flow in areas of physical, mental, or spiritual discomfort. Working in harmony with your own energy, this process promotes healing in a gentle and profound way. Sessions are typically done seated or lying down, and it’s recommended to drink plenty of water afterward to support the energetic shift. To learn more about Sarah, please click here.
